As a chap who works in sales & support I tend to monitor these sorts of Forums; their complaints and the responses by mods and community members. I have always been impressed by not only the responsiveness of TechSmith Support team members, but by the friendliness of the community members in wanting to assist others in getting to use Camtasia.

Truly great to see, keep up the great work!

Except that we're all complaining about the extortion of charging for a tiny upgrade and yet nothing is being done about it.............

To be fair, Tech Support typically has nothing to do with development or marketing beyond feeding back customer issues and suggestions. From what I've seen, the support personnel are exemplary at doing their job, which is assisting customers. It's not fair to dump on them for decisions that are completely beyond their control. I truly appreciate their efforts and professionalism and feel that they should be lauded for that. I've also walked in their shoes...

Unfortunately, there is no forum for development or marketing, which is where the complaints about pricing and lack of features/bug fixes should be addressed.

You don't need to get all "sour grapes" about it. It seems that you've really missed the point of the original post, which was to praise this group and Techsmith's support staff for the support we all provide this community.

I haven't bought Camtasia 2018 and it's increasingly looking like I won't due to all of the problems people are reporting, and the lack of value that you raised. However, that's a completely separate issue.

The support of this community and Techsmith has made it possible for me to use Camtasia 9 more effectively and efficiently, and for that, I'm grateful to everyone involved.
