Prompt to allow access to TaskManager on Snagit launch/Windows start?

I have SnagIt set to start when I start Windows (Windows 10). Since I upgraded to the paid version (SnagIt18), each time I start windows, I get a popup asking if I want to allow TechSmith to make changes in Task Manager (such as you see if you are going into Control Panel to change a setting there). I hadn't had this issue with prior/free versions, so I'm not sure what would trigger it just for initiating the program. Any ideas?

Not contradicting but "changes to task manager" makes no sense. I have never seen that ever. You can kill, start or change a priority but that is about it. What happens if you let it make the change? I have only seen similar messages regarding "setting defaults"

You might want to try reinstalling from scratch

I would agree. Do a thorough UNinstall and Reinstall.

Are you seeing this?

If so select "YES" and it should stop happening.

You need to apply that change before the change will take hold.
