PRT SC will not capture a screen image since I downloaded Snagit to try to free version. When I try to uninstall Snagit, a message pops up saying that the "setup is blocked" because there is a version of Snagit running. But Snagit is not open . How do I get this program off my computer and get my screen shot key/prt sc to work again?

Check your system tray for 'Hidden' icons, one of which may be the SnagIt app, running in the background. You need to right-click on the icon and select 'Exit TechSmith Snagit'. If you don't see it there, try the 'Task Manager' (right-click on task bar) and look for it in the list of 'Background Processes'. You may also find a listing for SnagIt Editor here as well which will also need to be terminated. Ending the Snagit task should kill the Editor app as well. You should now be able to uninstall. As far as 'prt sc' not capturing a screen image, you may need to turn off the setting in SnagIt 'Capture Preferences' on the 'Hotkeys' tab to 'Allow SnagIt to override other hotkey assignments'.

You may want to disable the setting on the 'Capture' tab for 'Open screenshots copied from system tools' as well.

If you disable 'Allow Snagit to override...' and enable 'Open screenshots copied from...', pressing 'prt sc' will send a screenshot to the Snagit Editor.

I hope this helps.
