The settings are all over the place in Snagit. The main program has "Capture Preferences". If you manage presets, it is there again under FILE. But under EDIT you fine the program destinations and under VIEW you have "hide one click"
In the editor preferences there are yet another set of preferences and settings but if you want to always default to a specific file format, you must discover it at SHARE / SAVE AS PREFERENCES
Why not create a Control or settings panel that contains all the settings tabs everywhere in all the module so the user can just call that up and hunt all over and try to remember where each setting is. each place that I mentioned (and any that I missed) woul call up the panel and optionally highlight the correct tab.
