I have to modify screen shots to take out customer specific data. I then have to put in legally approved data. For example I take out a customer name and put in "Your Sample Co, Inc." I use these legally approved account names, numbers, etc. over and over. I would love to be able to save them, and as I copy my next screen I can simply click on the list of approved names and numbers to overwrite the existing names and numbers. So, like stamps, but with my data. It would make life SOOOO much easier! Is it possible now? And I just don't know about it? Or maybe an enhancement.

Hi there,
Yes, you can easily do this in a couple of ways.

Just make a selection around each bit of text you want save as a stamp. Then, right-click and choose Save Selection As.
Navigate to your Snagit Stamps folder, create a new folder and put the saved bits in there.
Then, they should show up in your Stamps drop down for you to use.

Also, you can use the Grab Text option to just quickly replace the text.
So, make a selection, right-click and choose Edit Text .Have a TXT document open with the word bits you want to use. Copy the text to use, and paste it into the replace box within Snagit.

I hope this help!Kelly

Phraseexpress is great for things like this where you need to replace text, etc.
