Question on File Management

For a course I teach, I create a large number of mostly short videos, probably around 80 per semester. In my Camtasia folder, when I save a project, I end up with four separate items:

1. A folder with the name of the project
2. The final video, in either .mp4 or .m4a format, depending on whether I'm creating a video or audio-only file
3. A .tscproj file
4. A .trec file

Camtasia puts the mp4/m4a in the folder, but the tscproj and trec files are left outside the folder. I drag the former into the folder, but I'm not sure what to do with the trec files, as all of them save one are named beginning with "Rec" and ending with the date they were created. I may create 6 or 7 projects in a session, so I'm ending up with a lot of trec files I don't know what to do with.

Is there a process whereby I can assign a recognizable name to each trec file as I go, so that I can drag it into the appropriate folder?

Thanks for your help!

Here's one approach,

You can set up the recorder so that you have to name the .trec recordings as you save them.
That way you don't end up with a large collection of auto named trec files that lack discernible origins or content.
Plus, you will not need to rename it later.
