Quick Transfer of Scale & properties

Problem: When I'm editing and I need to adjust the scale and X/Y position of one clip, and then the playhead moves to a new clip that I cannot stich with the previous one (either because it's from a different recording or the subsequent has a time effect on it), it leads to a jarring effect in the screen cast. Currently today, if I want the scale/X&Y properities to be the same, I have to go back and forth to look at the old clip and manually enter them into the properties of the new clip.

Idea: I would love to have a way that I could select both clips, and transfer the scale and X/Y properties at the end of the first clip to the beginning of the second clip.

Benefit: This would avoid time-consuming effort and speed up the editing workflow. I may have one screen recording clip that has to be cut up in a multiple pieces to cut out extraneous visuals and extend certain frames.

have you tried right clicking source clip and then "copy properties; then right click destination and "paste properties"?

Hats off to you, Kayakman. That was a rookie mistake on my part. Yes, this works.

Thank you!

In addition, is it possible to make such as preset number? I work with plenty of steps. It worth if I can set and call some preset number, 3 or 5 presets are enough for me.

this tutorial described how to do what you want, but it addresses "effects"

but the same approach works for "properties"
