I am French Canadian and I notice that I can not modify the Quiz Type

Are you wanting to change the type of question? Or the text?

If it's the text, have you clicked the Quiz Options button as shown below?

Cheers... Rick :)

thanks for that; I believe that there are German and Japanese versions of Camtasia[?]

is there a French version of Camtasia?

otherwise, with above language versions, you can edit some quiz text values in the techsmith-smart-player.min.js file that is one of the produced files; I use free Notepad++ to work with it; it is a text file, and if you change the file extension to .txt you can also edit it with Notepad

however, I looked and could not find a "French" section like there are for the above listed languages

so maybe not possible?

perhaps contact free tech support, maybe they can help

I sent a support request to a TechSmith. Suggestion add in the dialog box Quiz Appearance a section that can convert True/False by Vrai/Faux.

Thanks for help

Hi there

I was able to coax it.

Note that it is a workaround. I totally agree that it should be a configurable option within Camtasia. But for now it would appear that a workaround is all we have.

First, look where the output files were created. And in the scripts folder, open the file named config_xml.js. As Kayakman stated earlier in this thread, you need to use a text editor to change the values.

I just searched for "True" and found this line:

So change the value True to Vrai. And on that next line, change the value False to Faux.

Close and save that file and when you run the video, the quiz should show what you want.

Cheers... Rick :)

great insight Rick

I had forgotten that all the quiz questions/answers were in the config files

I'll add that if the video is hosted on screencast.com, the xmp metadata embedded within the MP4 file will also need editing [requires a hex editor]

Hey plabrie, Kayakman has a video that demonstrates working with the MP4 in case you are hosting on ScreenCast.com and need to edit the MP4.
