Quizzes, user emails, and skipping quiz

In Camtasia 8, I have a long video with a quiz at the end. Seems to work fine, but at the start of video, the opening screen says "A first name, last name, and email address are required to take this quiz." Then two buttons, for continuing with the quiz and continuing without the quiz.

So I think this breaks into two questions for me.

Is there a way to change the opening screen to something like "Please enter your name and email to watch this video. There will be a quiz at the end."

And is there a way to remove those two buttons (with quiz, skip quiz) and force users to just click a "Continue" button?

Thanks!

make a safe backup of the file techsmith-smart-player.min.js [you get this when you custom produce to MP4 with controller], then ...

edit the file techsmith-smart-player.min.js with a text editor, like free Notepad++

do a ctl-F ["find"] for the text string "First Name" to locate where in that file you need to change what you want to see

that should work [been a while since I fooled with it]

I haven't tried deleting the buttons before?

since you can't prevent a viewer from using a phony email in order to take the quiz; here's another approach ...

set the quiz properties in the production wizard to allow anonymous takers, ask for name and email in a quiz question; doing this should solve both your issues listed above

just did a quick test and it works; but only if you host on your own web site, and not if you host on screencast.com

also, be sure and change the text that pertains to your system's language
