Real-time mouse input Issues while recording

When recording with Camtasia I have very serious real-time mouse input issues. When recording my mouse has about a 5 ms delay, which is bad, because I am recording gaming. I am not talking about when watching it again. I am talking about when I record. I have a feeling that it has to do with the fact that in Camtasia studio I have the option to add an animation to my cursor, which means it is tracking the cursor. But I cannot find a option to turn this off.

The only mouse options in the recorder is to have the click sound on/off.
You can hide it when editing in Camtasia IF you recorded in .trec format.

If the mouse movement is erratic when recording,  the most likely reason is your machine not being able to handle the load of the programs running at the same time.

Games and recording are both intensive resource users and if you have anything else running it will drain your system even more.

Note: Games recorded with Camtasia need to be done in Window Mode.
