Record and Playback Keyboard and Mouse Movements

Camtasia should include basic functionality of recording and playing back mouse and keyboard actions.

The goal of this feature is to make it easy to playback your screen capture demo and make changes and re-run the demo "automatically."

I'm working on a Udemy class video and when I stop after making a mistake I would like the option to re-record it "live" by using playback of my keyboard and mouse movements. This is much easier than following my written script and trying to get the timing back down.

Look at licensing products like: MurGaa's Macro Recorder for Mac or JitBit's Mouse Recorder.

On the Mac this apps invoke the built in Accessibility functions. You would want to notify users that Camtasia is in keyboard and mouse logging mode to prevent password theft, but I think this feature would give you a huge competitive advantage. It would also save a lot of user frustration when they have to re-record their demo to put it on autopilot!

I'm currently experimenting with having the Keyboard Mouse recorder app control your software and the webapp, but it would be a lot easier if this was all built into the screen recorder software.

Think of multilanguage content. we have to do everything all over again instead of just switching the language and then "playback" what we did.
