Recorder UI barely usable on hi-DPI displays

A few years ago this was understandable growing pains... but in an era when 4k displays are commonplace, going update after update without these issues being fixed is getting more and more frustrating. (See attached)

I'm sorry you're going through this. I went through something similar. Real quick, when you right-click your desktop and choose "Display Settings," can you share a screenshot of what you see in the Scale and layout section?

The Windows Recorder UI uses an older UI tech (QT) which is not DPI friendly. We have plans to rewrite the Recorder in a new UI technology stack. I can't give you a timeline. There's actually a group of developers that have been getting a start on this work during their regular innovation time. It may be not be done for awhile (there are lots of things in the queue). Looking at the analytics data we get it's still not a huge portion of the user base that is running this hardware, but we recognized the folks who have these monitors need a better experience.
