Remove info window on mouse-over in timeline?

Hello. When I put the mouse in the time-line window, a small info-window pops up. It's constantly in the way and it gets really annoying. I spend a lot of time moving the mouse around to get rid of this little window, because I can't see the timeline underneath it.

Is there any way to turn this feature off? I'm using v9.1.1 (build 2546) on a Windows 10 OS.

Thanks!

those popups can be very distracting; their removal has been requested many times over the years; I suspect those popups are a property behavior of the controls used to make the timeline in the editor [?], so baked in

You cannot shut them off by default. Unfortunately.

However, if you left click the media it's giving you information about. It will disappear immediately.

That carries the consequence of placing the focus on that clip.Any changes applied will effect that clip, so this is not an ideal solution. Use with caution.

Thanks, both, for the quick replies. That's a bit disappointing to read, but it's not so awful and I'm quite happy with the software otherwise. I'll just have to live with it.
