Render Times Camtasia 2018

I am creating some short training modules with Camtasia 2018, I just finished  one which has a length of about 6 minutes and it took about 25 minutes to render most of the other projects done in the previous version took a lot less time with around the same amount of tracks and assets. Wondering if this is a result of my less that stellar business class PC. Just trying to get some of your render examples to see if i'm in the ball park. Thanks

Maybe list the specs of your computer for us to see. I do know the more callouts, animations, behaviours, etc. you have on your timeline can have an effect on the Render times. I just created a short 10 minute video to test and it Rendered in about 13 minutes and had a few callouts and animations on it. Let us know by posting back here.
Thanks for posting and have a great day/night.

the audio and narration run the length of the project along with the screenshots static oh I have a lot of custom animation because  recording through Camtasia is not the best option

This is more like a simulation created using animations in  Camtasia rather a recording and just voice over to tell views what i am doing

You may want to try Joe's suggestion and report back and let us know if that helps or not.
When you say a lot of custom animations becuase recording through Camtasia is not the best option are these animations coming from somewhere else for example say PowerPoint or another software instead of the optionf for animations etc. in Camtasia itself ? Just curious if they are from somewhere else or ones you added in editing.
Like I stated with more animations, callouts, special fx etc. it can be take a lot of resources when rendering. Personally I appreciate the posts back you make so we know if any of the ideas or suggestions help you or not. Thanks for doing that.

Install changes hardware acceleration setting. You might want to try software only

The animations were created in Camtasia with the custom animation tool and zooms. So everything was created in Camtasia.

Sounds like you need to try Software rendering mode in preferences.
If you don't have a strong graphics card, 2018 renders slow if GPU acceleration is enabled.

If you don't see improvements and Camtasia 9 works just fine.

I'd start with a fresh download and reinstall of Cam 2018.If that doesn't fix the problem.

I would probably contact Tech Support. Because overall. Camtasia 9 and 2018 are not that much different from each other. Tech support is better equipped to drill down and figure out what's going on.

I just saw you posted you had 4gb of graphics RAM?If that's the case you have a discrete graphics card. "Not integrated"into the motherboard. I would look into updating the drivers and rendering using GPU acceleration.

Just a reminder, 2018 needs a re-start to make changes to the rendering settings.

I was getting ready to post a screenshot of this and you beat me to it Joe. Great suggestion to try out and see if it makes a difference. I think they should make more training videos that go through some of these settings to let users know and understand the way they work and when they might want to use them. Just my opinion.
