When I render a video, I send it to a folder in my dropbox.
The last two times I've done this, the folder shows up -
no video inside and I can't find it anywhere on my PC?
This wastes a ton of time. What is wrong/missing?

Hi there!
The issue might be caused by Dropbox syncing functions; try producing to a non-synced folder. Does the production go through?

Hi Robert... thank you for taking the time
to reply.
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to have
anything to do with Dropbox... it's happend
a number of times now - and i've tried
rendering to different places... even my
Documentes/Camtasia Studio...
I just waited more than an hour for a
video to render so tthat could easily
do more ediing and it wasn't there...
not a happy camper right now... would
really love a fix for this

perhaps try rendering to a local folder; after render, try copying/moving the folder to dropbox?

Is FileWriterad5c3cd.avi related to Camtasia at all?
Since I upgraded my software, I keep seeing a little
notice that the above file is either added or deleted
from my dropbox.???

Rendering to a local folder is certainly doable...
AND, it just adds a great deal of time onto the
delivery time of a video.
I'd much rather learn what the issue is and fix it

One would think rendering to a local folder would actually dramatically DECREASE the render time.

It may reduce the time to render...
however, I then have to manually move
it to dropbox. If I promise a video by
morning, it means I'm hanging out for
at least an hour while the video renders
so that I may get it to dropbox before
I go to bed.
So, a solution rather than a work
around would be best
up until the upgrade, I'd always rendered
to dropbox without issue.
Either I messed up something in the
settings or?

Like many things, I'm sure folks use DropBox in different ways. Seems that perhaps you are using it in a manner where you simply upload to somewhere in "the cloud"?
The way I've always used DropBox is to have a folder configured on my PC that is synchronized to its mirror folder in "the cloud". Whatever goes into that folder gets copied to the matching folder in "the cloud". So it may be as simple as configuring your DropBox to behave in that manner.
Cheers... Rick :)
