Alright, so i just finshed creating a video and when i went to render the video (which is only 6 minutes long) it did not even move one speak infact it did not even load for a second. It closed extremly fast then i kept on trying to render it in every way posibble and it did not work a single bit. I really want to fix this issue, ive never had this type of issue before so i really want it fixed and i want it fixed fast.

Hello ,

Rendering works fine; sounds like you're.rendering only a fraction of a second instead of the entire project timeline . Re-check your settings make sure it's not stopping at a marker right near the beginning or something silly like that .

I have checked everything, everything is just like when i make videos and it works. Ill try to describe it in as much detail as posibble, so when i go on the production wizard and i press finish it just opens up the rendering page for a fraction of a second and then opens up the production wizard right back to the area were i can press finish. Video does not even download it just brings me right back to the production wizard.

Where are you attempting to render to? Perhaps it's a network drive? If so, perhaps try changing the output location to a folder on your local C drive?

You might also check folder and file names. I've seen things before where accented characters in paths and file names cause headaches.

Cheers... Rick :)

I also had this problem with Camtasia 8 (not since the upgrade to Camtasia 9) on my laptop: Rendering started, the popup stayed a few seconds at 0 %, then the result screen was displayed (like for any successful creation of a video), no error message was given and the file size in the directory of the finished video was exactly 0 bytes.

The problem occured about a half a dozen times. Other recordings of about the same length and features (cursor effects) rendered without any problem. One or two times, a restart of the laptop combinded with a change of the output options worked.

I then temporarilly installed Camtasia 8 on another, a little bit better, laptop to which I had access  and rendered the videos successfully there (for the records: of course the software was uninstalled immediately after the rendering!)

As I upgraded shortly afterwards, and I don't have these problems since, I didn't go into more detail of analyizing.

Nevertheless, some kind of technical logfile would be very helpful, at least when contacting techsmith.

Kind regards,

Franz
