in previous versions of SNAGIT, I could use a selection tool to pick a color then replace it with another color.  There are items on the web that show clicking "replace color" on the effects menu.  I can't find that on 4.0.7 of the tool...  Is it still there somewhere?

what are you trying to change Color  of. Snagit 4  no longer use apple's color Picker what every you are working on has a Colored Block or Colored outline click on that an Pop up Color picker comes up looking something like a Temperature gauge  ans Circle in a Box that from Black through to white It has an eyedropper where you can choose a previously used color I wish I could take a SnagIt screen shot of the Snagit color adjustment. but I can't.  There same for Text, shapes, balloons, and so on.

Hi,

If you'd like the Apple color picker in Snagit 4, you can press "command shift C" which is the standard macOS hotkey for showing the color picker, then you can drag a color from there into Snagit's color wells.

As for taking a screenshot of Snagit, in Snagit's capture preferences you can uncheck "Hide Snagit when capturing" to keep Snagit visible during a capture. If you're capturing a popover like the color picker, you'll want to use a hotkey so the popover doesn't disappear.

I hope this helps!

Hi Bob,

In version 4.1 we now have a tool called Magic Wand that will allow you to select a color. Once you have a selection, you can switch to the fill tool to replace it with a color.

This works!  It's a bit cumbersome, but I used this all the time on my PC & now I can on my Mac too.
