I think it would be a nice feature to be able to change the content of an image on the time line, without disturbing the rest of all objects on the time line.
Say, I have an image on the time line with a duration of 60 seconds and I have placed various pan and zoom actions on it, as well as audio and various callouts, in multiple lines. Then I discover I have used the wrong image...

How nice would it be if I could right-click the image on the time line, form the popup menu select "Content" and select a different image from disk, while the image remains on the same position on the time line and all the other objects as well.

Right now I have to add the image to the time line and then drag all my audio and pan and zoom actions and callouts one by one to the new location

This is easy to do.

First, copy the project to Library; right click the new sequence asset and make note of its Library [folder] ID.

Exit the project.

Give your new image the same file name it has in original project.

Paste a copy of the new image into the Library folder for the saved sequence asset; overwrite the original image file.

Loads the sequence asset onto timeline; the new image will appear on timeline where original was; callouts, etc. will be OK.

Thanks kayakman! That will certainly work, but you might also be interested in a feature we added to Camtasia Studio 8, which is available now. It's called grouping, and here's an example of how it could help in your situation:

If you'd like to try it out, you can download the 30-day trial here:

Hope that helps too!
