I created a project based on a video clip with a very bad audio. Now a managed to clean the audio by using an external program. Can I replace the audio of the project with the new cleaned audio? Or the audio+video of the project with the new cleaned audio+video?

IMPORTANT: I edited heavily the audio/video in the project, by cutting away many pieces from the original clip and by replacing several audio bits with silence.

Thanks in advance for any suggestion

I am unsure how to achieve directly what you want however I have used a technique previously which has worked.

On the original clip you can separate the audio and video and delete the original audio.

Import the new audio and transfer this to the timeline above.

How I then do things is by looking at the timers. If the audio clip is the same length as the video clip it should just overlay and will batch produce together and play as before. I should imagine you may be able to group the two clip together as well.

If your audio clip is a different length. When you separate the original audio from the clip lock of the video clip. Overlay the two audio clips with each other and where they sync you can then delete the original audio and leave the new clip. In respect of this then you have audio for the video.

I tend to use the bookmarks on the timelines to help place the clips in sync.

hope this helps.
