I have misstated a persons name and would like to correct it. How do I voice over the wrong name with the correct one?

Depends on your version of Camtasia. If version 8, just select the misspoken part, head to the Audio tab and click the Silence button.

If you are using version 9, likely you will need to cut the unwanted part of the audio clip out.

Then with either version, you will simply record yourself saying the name and position it in a track above the others at the spot where you cut or silenced the misspoken part.

Cheers... Rick :)

Thanks, I am not the most technical. I seem to be able to cut/silence (I have version 8) but then unable to figure out how to record and save it to the presentation. Seems when I do that, I only end up with the small 2 second snip it .

Sorry, but what are the steps after I silence?

do your voice over using the voice narration tool; start with the playhead at location the new audio goes; record and narrate; new audio clip will go on timeline at that location
