Request for Customer Input in Packaging of Support and Updates

Greetings TechSmith Community,

We are inviting customer input on proposed changes to how we package support and software updates for our Camtasia and Snagit products.

We are considering offering:
  • Annual major releases of Snagit and Camtasia, licensed perpetually

  • One year of maintenance included with every new license or upgrade

  • After year one, an optional maintenance renewal as the primary way to access all ongoing software updates (patches, minors, and majors), live support (phone, chat), and other benefits

We expect these changes will positively benefit most customers, however, we want to hear from you directly before making any decisions. Please share your opinions in the survey below, where you can also learn more details about the proposed changes.

Update Added 6/30/17:   Having looked at some of the survey responses, I did want to confirm that the proposed changes would NOT affect customers already on maintenance, assuming they continued on maintenance.  The survey itself was originally emailed to customers who have purchased upgrades, so this point was not made clear.  Even if you are already on maintenance, we would appreciate your participation as you will have the opportunity to indicate how we can improve the maintenance value proposition and improve customer support.  Thanks for engaging with us!
