Request Output to Devonthink Pro

Please, please add Devonthink Pro output for Snagit. I know many who are abandoning Evernote and moving to Devonthink. Higher yearly subscriptions, lack of security/encryption and few useful new features are a few of the many reasons why we not renewing.

If I can take Snagit capture and sent it directly to Devonthink without any extra steps / automation, that would be amazing!

Thanks.

Hi,

Our Evernote and OneNote sharing extensions in Snagit Mac are actually the system ones that those apps ship. I would highly encourage you to request that they build this. The main benefit would be that instead of only having this option from Snagit, you would be able to share to Devonthink Pro from anywhere on your system!

Do you mean to capture a Snagit object, send it to Evernote and then share with Devonthink Pro?

I am currently doing this and it is multi step instead of one step.
Kind of like going from Okemos > Lansing > then Detroit instead of Okemos direct to Detroit.

This method is
1) time consuming multi step process
2) leaves data unnecessarily in duplicate places and is prone to missing data from one place to another
3) adds time to reconcile completeness of work between data locations

I understand putting the effort on DevonThink to create the share but it leaves Snagit out in the cold and not a viable capture tool for Devonthink users. Your product won't even be considered... lost sales.... or worse, lost subscription renewals.

Ian

Hi,

Sorry about the confusion. What I was describing would be a direct share from Snagit to Devonthink Pro, but using an extension that they would write, rather than one written by TechSmith. Evernote and OneNote already have this, so when I install one of those apps, this becomes available in every share menu on my Mac, including Snagit's.
