i use snagit to back up content from social media like twitter. and so far i've just been saving images independently, but this means they aren't together; they by being seperately saved find themselves in independent files. it would be nice if i had a option next to my rightlick- save image, to save image threads together. so i rightclick on the image, select 'add to snaggit' then go to the next and click the same. then i go to snagit itself, and instead of having single screenshots i have all the "add to snagits" combined in one image.

it would get rid of needing to have folders for the back up of single tweets.

For different reasons I often have to merge captures.

If you do it by dragging items from the recents tray onto each other it takes just a few seconds and then you can save it as one file.

I'd be a bit cautious about what an auto merge would do:

1. What order should they be processed in? First to last or last to first?
2. Are they in a strict sequence or are some out of order?
3. Do they go vertically or horizontally, or a mix?
4. If they are different sizes should they all be left or centre aligned?

That's why I like doing it manually, from the recents tray - it gives me complete layout control.

Assuming what Paul has outlined here sounds interesting and you wish to adopt that workflow, you would want to ensure you click Edit > Editor Preferences... > Editor tab and ensure the option for automatically expanding the canvas is enabled.

Cheers... Rick :)
