In v 13 of Snagit, I've adjusted the image capture to 300 dpi per instructions provided.  But when I checked the dpi resolution it says it has reverted to 96 dpi. I need all my images captured at 300 dpi. I don't want to have to resize each individual image. What should I do to accomplish this?

Have you tried saving it as a custom profile?

I created a custom profile and set the resolution to 300 DPI. I opened the image in Photoshop to confirm the resolution.

I confirm what Joe has stated.

You can not change the default settings for 1click, you have to create a new preset or edit an existing one and use it for your image capture.

Make sure to click the green "Save Preset" button !!

New Preset

Edit an existing preset

You can verify the DPI after you do a capture within the editor by clicking on the image size at
the bottom of the editor than under Advance

Interesting, but well-hidden, especially the part of the default profile can't be edited.
 Thanks a lot.

In response to Joe Morgan's answer - I am not finding Image Resolution under the Effects tab. Is it possible to add this to the list?

See attached for my list:

Is that SnagIt for MAC by any chance?

What version of SnagIt are you using? It doesn't look like any of the Windows versions I can remember using.
I've used all of the versions that look similar to that one.

Yes - this is a Mac with High Sierra - downloaded the software (SnagIt 2018) yesterday.
