Resizing an Animated Annotation

Hi,
I am testing the Sw and using the animated annotations feature.

I am unable to resize annotations (eg. rectangle) as I want, but I just can scale it with contrained proportions.

Am I missing some button to avoin constrained scaling?

Thanks,
Gabriele

Hi Gabriele,

I believe the solution to your problem is the Shift key. If you hold it down, it will toggle aspect ratio locking (i.e. constrained proportions). Then you can resize however you wish.

Good to know but how would one know that. It is not intuitive at all.

I am using Camtasia 9, I am facing the resizing issue, the issue starts with the use of Shift+Enter in Camtasia, using the shift key or Shift+Enter again does not resolve the issue, have to reopen the project, any help is appreciated

Wow glad I found this page via Google search. I thought it was weird I couldn't make a rectangle. Thanks Conan!

When I resize a rectangle, it crops the outline rather than resizing.  For example, if I make a rectangle more narrow, the left and right lines of the outline disappear, leaving just a top & bottom line instead of a rectangular outline.  How do I resize instead of cropping?

Do you have cropping enabled?

If cropping is enabled, the control points around the rectangle will be blue squares, instead of white circles.

I found that when I had "property changes affect all animations" I could not animate annotations.
