Resume where you left off wording for SCORM packages

Hello,

Thank you for the ability to resume video playback where you left off for SCORM packages! This helps us greatly as many of our videos are an hour or so long.  One thing: Is it possible to have "Would you like to resume where you left off?" wording when the user revisits the learning? As in, the user is watching the SCORM video, leaves halfway through, and comes back and clicks on the package.  Sometimes the user would rather start from the beginning again, and sometimes they'd like to resume where they left off.  It would be great to give the user the ability to do either.  Is this feasible now, or could it be part of a future release?

Thank you,
Robert

Hi Robert,

Thank you for the feedback.  Currently there is no option to prompt the user to resume or start from the beginning.  I'll talk with our UX folks and see if we can't come up with something that may address this.

Hi Ben or Robert,
Can you help explain how to ensure that the video resumes where the user left off? I haven't been successful.
Thanks.

Hi Sara,

Can I get a little information?  What version of Camtasia are your producing the SCORM package with?  What version of SCORM are you using (1.2 or 2004) What LMS are you hosting your SCORM content with?  Does your video have a Quiz?

Thanks,
Ben

Hi Ben,
I did some more digging and found that this was a new feature in Camtasia 2018, is that correct? It also seemed like it had to be SCORM 2004 for bookmarking to work. Does it also work with 1.2? I'm getting the new Camtasia version now, and I just want to make sure there aren't any settings I need to define - bookmarking should just occur?
Thanks,
Sara

Yes, bookmarking is new to the most recent version of Camtasia 2018.  It should work for both SCORM 1.2 and 2004.
