You can select a portion of a clip and Right Click and choose "Silence Audio". I want to right click on a clip and select "Silence Audio", for the entire clip.

Why not just right click and separate audio then delete the audio track for a whole clip?

Yes that is the same workflow I have been doing for 3 years now. I was hoping that upgrading to 9 would improve on this. Separating audio creates a new track which disrupts my workflow. When you have a lot of clips on your scene and you then decide to remove audio from some it becomes very cumbersome.

Just to elaborate a bit, I am using Camtasia to do things that I probably should be doing in Premier, iMovie or Final Cut Pro. I have over 40 different clips, images, effects, transitions etc... and multiple tracks.  I am going to stick with Camtasia since its great having it all in one place, but these few things I have posted the last day or so, including this one, would make things so much better.

Yes, I do tend to drag any clip I want to remove audio on to the top, track, remove audio, drag it back then delete any extra tracks :-) it is not perfect.
