I saw that about 5 or 6 years ago someone asked about rotating circles, squares and/or rectangles. I'd like to do that also! Is that option available yet??

Just for information's sake.
SnagIt 12.1 added the ability to rotate shapes

10 July, 2014: Snagit v12.1

  • Dropbox sharing (link returned to be pasted)
  • OneNote 2013 sharing
  • Ability to rotate shapes and images
  • Ability to change the background canvas color in Snagit Editor
  • Quickly enter the exact height and width during a capture
  • Removed option that forced objects to be flattened
  • Other minor bug fixes
Back then, at least on Windows versions. You couldn't elongate a rectangle. But you could, and "still can" elongate a circle. So rotating circles has its merits too. It does sounds a bit ridiculous to rotate a circle {:>)

OK got it. That is not the default when you chose a shape. you need to pick the correct shape on the right panel to get that adjustment.
Thanks

Oh, FFS, I have wanted to do that for years!!!!!

Thank you.

Now, if that can be done for a rectangle, why can't the same logic be applied to call-outs, to prevent the tedious process of:

1. Draw text box
2. Enter text
3. Overlay rectangle
4. Change rectangle radius
5. Group
6. Position
7. Realise you need to edit the text
8. Ungroup
9. Go to step 2

Rounded Rectangles are. Circles distort naturally. Its just that circles don't have nice rectangular curved ends.
Rounded Rectangles were add to SnagIt 2018

19 June, 2018: Snagit 2018.2.0

He he. A circle with a nice rectangular curved end?  What's one of those then? :)

There is only one radius handle and you are looking for the Rounded Rectangle shape.
