Sample Kinetic Typography video in CS 9

In trying to gain experience with all the new Behaviors animations and features of CS 9, I decided to take a stab at creating a kinetic typography music video. I found a nifty sample (probably created in After Effects) and "reverse-engineered" it using Camtasia.

NOTE: It will pop up an ad because the music is copyrighted and the revenue goes to the artist. You can just X it out...

A few notes on the experience:

1. 90% pure CS 9 but I did create a few additional assets in PowerPoint for the text with backgrounds (Map, Temptation, Voice). I created transparent text shapes and put them on top of the underlying images.

2. I also had to create a couple of text elements in PPT and save them as transparent PNG images to overcome the 500 pt. text limit in CS 9.

3. This would NOT have been possible without my new GeForce 1060 6GB GPU. Obviously, Previewing is critical to dialing in the timing. My old card choked miserably when previewing...

4. It took about 14+ hours to do with a lot of that being the learning curve of course...

Thoughts, comments, or questions?

Hope you enjoy it! ;-)

Great job, Lon!

I am a big fan of video title work -- when I watch TV, that is one of the main things I pay close attention to.

Your 14 hour effort does not really seem that bad, considering the length of the piece.

You have inspired us all!
