I use the feature to load images as stamps a lot. However, it is cumbersome to have to save the edited capture as an image file first, and then open the stamps organizing screen and then load that image.
Why not have an option "Save As Stamp?"

Hello,
There was such an option in a previous release. However, that was removed when we implemented the workflow where you can save directly to the stamps folder and the image will appear in your stamp list.
So, you can choose a selection of an image, right-click it, then choose Save As. Navigate to the Stamps folder in Your Documents, and save that as a PNG file in the folder you want it to live in.
Or, do a Save As of the entire image and do the same - save it to the desired stamp folder.
No need to go through the Stamp Manager.
I hope this helps!

In 2019 that no longer seems to be an option. I saved my capture and stored it in one of the stamps folders and I can't see it. Please advise.

What format did you save it as?
Did you try clicking the Organize Stamps... button?

I saved it as a jpg. I went to Add Stamp and that did the trick. Just seems like alot of steps. When I right mouse click, there is not an option to save - so I just saved it off the file menu.

The right-click Save-As will only show when you have a selection made.

That will save just the selected part of the image.
So in the image above it would save the selection of the birds head that I have selected.
To save the whole image you have to do a Save-As from the File Menu.
Tip:
When saving as a stamp it is better to save as a png.
It will resize (to a limit) better than a jpg and will also retain any transparency.
jpg won't retain transparency.
Dubie:)

Grrr... neither the right mouse click or saving the entire image as a png is not working.
When I save the file to the directory, i organize the stamps, select it, but does't put it into SnagIt.
Same when I right mouse click (i hadn't been doing the selection part), it doesn't put it into the SnagIt Stamp display. Please advise.
