Save current Effects as Default

The vast majority of clips for me are pasted into an email message or a document for training. It is almost ALWAYS best to have a border on my clips. It would be great if we could set any preferred effects, and then save those settings as the default for every clip (much like paragraph spacing can be changed and set as a default in Word).

One way to quickly add the border is to;

Create your border and add it to the Quick Effects Panel
Once in the panel you just click to add it to your capture/image.

Another way would be to create a capture preset that will auto add the border
when you make your capture.

Might one of those methods work for you?

That's not a default setting auto setting, which seems to be the request.
I considered recommending the same thing, but dismissed it because it's not the same thing. {:>)
Doesn't hurt to point this out.
Not sure it's for me?

Agreed that it is not a way to set a default setting. Point Blank, It is not possible to set a default setting.
I was just suggesting maybe other methods that might be suitable.

As most of us are aware, the Effects options could use alot of productivity tweaks.

Such as the Color Adjustment options not resetting back to zero but instead they retain your last used settings.

Talk about a time suck :) That's defiantly one

I understand it's not available now, and I do appreciate you stepping up with suggestions. As Techsmith certainly monitors these ideas, maybe it will get raised to feasibility? Their developers obviously have the skill for this

If I understand the capture preset idea, every capture would have the border, with the inability to change it quickly in the editor. The beauty of creating an optional default setting is the ability to change the setting as needed on the fly for any one particular capture.

And I do have in my quick effects, but I have that additional click on 80% of my captures.
