That is a very nice idea, and I really love it. You would save hours and hours of video editing, saving custom behaviors.
I remember when I was talking via webcam with Troy and the Techsmith people, last June or May, don't remeber, via GoToMeeting, I explained something similar, but with zooms.
Also having the ability to save custom zooms, because most of the time I work with five zooms... up left corner, up right corner, down left corner, down right corner, center.
It would be great to have the possibility to save those zooms, as presets, so I don't have to waste time moving the slider every time I want to get a zoom... I would have them already customized, and I only have to do one click... so...
1. Saving the behaviors independently is very necessary
2. Saving customized zooms independently is very necessary
And... I am sure, some people would love to automate more complex tasks... the word that comes to my mind is MACROS...
3. It would be great, Camtasia can record a macro, and then play it with a simple shortcut, getting total automation in any process
As outlined in our New Community Processes post, feature requests are open to voting up through the 1st of the month, where we will then tally the votes and present the findings to our product teams. To ensure we have the most accurate data, on the 1st of the month we will be locking the threads that were listed in the Feature Request Round-up that was posted on the 15th. Once we have reviewed the submitted feature requests, our product team(s) may respond to the request, and if that is the case then that thread will then be unlocked for further discussion.
In the event that your idea is not selected for a response feel free to resubmit the idea and share it with your colleagues to garner as much exposure as possible!
Thank you again for your idea and we look forward to hearing more from you!
We are investigating quite a few improvements to behaviors in the future, and the ability to save customized behaviors is the top thing on that list! We agree that being able to save is pretty necessary to make working with behaviors enjoyable and efficient.
