Saving a Version 12 Snagit File So It Can be Edited at Some Future Date

I often add text blurbs to my Snagit captures. Then I save them to JPG format, but that makes the text blurbs non-editable. What do I need to do to make a Snagit file editable at some future date and still have a JPG file for posting to forums?

Right click  the recent capture tray Thumbnail.
Select "Duplicate"
Save one as a JPG.

The remaining  .snag file will be re-editable.
You can chose to save it with a name, choosing "save as" .snag
Or do nothing, and let the library handle it. It will retain the original metadata.
There are many sorting methods available.
