scale to fit print option in Snagit Mac still M.I.A. after 4+ years of asking - it isn't always about the numbers.

Looks like the request for this pretty basic feature has been out there for 4 or 5 years now.
Isn't it time??

A lot of Apps these days (not all of course) give the option of Fit to Page (Scale to Fit) when printing on the Mac and i would think especially a program like Snagit which can have screen grabs and scrolling web page captures of various shapes and sizes would certainly benefit by having this capability.
I appreciate Snagit interfaces with the various printer drivers which control most of the print settings but scale to fit must be doable (certainly much desired on my part), or at the very least put the "Page Setup" Scale box on the Print dialog setup screen so i can change the scale and see the results without going back and forth between two menu items.
Why are they separate anyway?

And if i can sit there and repeatedly type in a scale value till i get it all on one page (or however many) before i print then why can't a small piece of code determine that for me and scale it to fit without me wasting my time, or having to open the jpg in Apple Preview (v9 in my case) which does have a Scale (enter a value) and a Scale to Fit on the dialog page, and printing from there.
Workaround - Yes, Optimal - No

Bottom line - we should be able to control how many pages we print on and scale-to-fit is the way i would do it.

Less is more - Its the Eco thing to do.

Very good call. I'll chat with the team and investigate the difficulty of bringing this to Snagit Mac.

Is the Preview print dialog more in line with what you were thinking?

Another workaround in the meantime would be to save as a PNG and then open and print with Preview. Obviously still very annoying. But that way there is no guess and check like with switch between page setup and the print sheet.

Thanks for moving this forward in the queue. Hopefully it will have enough momentum to keep moving.
Doesn't Apple provide Print API code to make it easy to interface with the printing engine in Mac OS?

Yes the above Preview Dialog has all the elements needed to efficiently get a document printed with less time wasted and fewer clicks.

I have to imagine. We'll look at it more in depth when we have more people in the office. :)
