try capturing with normal, small sized cursor; then, when working in Camtasia Editor, select clip on timeline, then select cursor in properties panel and scale up

I do this all the time and my cursor looks large and sharp

This is not right. It should record the big cursor. ScreenHunter 7 Pro can do it.

on Windows?

be sure that cursor is set to Windows default [on Win 10, under Accessibility]; i.e. small size, no color, etc

capture using Camtasia Recorder to trec file type

with capture on timeline, select the clip, in properties panel [right side], select the cursor button, set size to max [500]

I tried this. The cursor becomes larger, but also ragged. It looks like the magnified pixel image of a small cursor. And I also would like to get the colour scheme from windows. Basically I would like to get the cursor I see in Windows

You have to use the Default windows cursor.
If you are using a custom cursor, you can't scale it up without pixelation. "Jagged Edges"

Thank you. I did not click on the leftmost choice as default color scheme. So now the large cursor looks nice.
