Scketch motions out

When you insert an scketch motion in a video, for example a rectangle, it shows an animated drawing rectangle. I have two questions:

1. Is there any way of changing the way the rectangle, or circle, or whatever, draws? I mean, when you draw a rectangle, it begins to draw in a position and draws clockwise. Is there any way of change the begining and direction of drawing?

2. When its time to take the figure out, is there any way to undraw the same way is drawn? I have tried with behaviours, but I did not find the way,

Thanks

1. try making changes to orientation in properties, like Y axis

2. capture the canvas while you scrub the timeline backwards, and use that clip for the reversal ...

best if you capture with canvas detached and full screened; scrub using < key; just hold it down

As to question 1. You can change the rotations direction. Plus, the corner the rotation starts from.

Flip Horizontally  and Vertically will change the rotations direction.
However, it won't get you into every corner in both directions. For that, you would need to Rotate the callout manually.

As far as creating an ending that resembles the beginning goes. Obviously, there are no controls for that.

You could record the callout playing with Camtasia.

Use an online reverse video site. Or a free video editor. There are a lot of free options for creating a reverse video. “Clip playing Backwards” There was a nice little free option called Video Time  Reversal. Recommended in this forum by many users. It seems to be broken on Windows 10 these days. At least it is on my computer.

Anyway, you make the callout and record it with a black background. Reverse it however you wish.

Trim the reversed portion of the drawing off the reversed clip and place it on the end of the normal callout. Since it’s played in reverse, it will be Un-drawn. Export that as a video from Camtasia. Add it to your Library so you never have to do it again.

Bring it into a project and add remove a color. Remove black and it will become transparent. I even applied add a color to the top one. You can’t change the colors a lot, but you can change it to a few.

It’s a lot of trouble really. Might not be worth it to you, But it’s an option. Here it is overlaying a video.

to optimize the draw un-draw sketch motion callout described in the above tutorial, edit the project at 60 FPS, set the draw tiime to 5, and produce the MP4 at 60 FPS; this will greatly improve smoothness

this tutorial has been appended to the one above ...
