SCORM Publish: Multiple Marker and Completion requirements

Camtasia 9.1

I am publishing a rather long video a Custom Production. Throughout the video I have used markers. When publishing within the video settings I have checked "Multiple files based on markers".  The completion requirement has "Viewing percentage required" set to 90%.

The course has been loaded on to the LMS

When the course is viewed to the first marker the course is being marked as completed. The learners is being marked as completed for only viewing a fraction of the entire video?

How should this be set up so that 90% of the entire video must be viewed for the learner to be marked as completed.

I have not used SCORM output in recent versions, but I would suggest it is because you are using the multiple files option, and the LMS is only looking at percentage completion for the first file.

This seems like a clumsy and disappointing approach on behalf of Camtasia if your right!

Also, you may want to consider using the open source tool called Reload Editor to build a SCORM package, from the Camtasia published non-SCORM content.

You can find info on Reload Editor here:

http://www.reload.ac.uk/

A tutorial for it is here:

( btw... I’ve asked Techsmith about this before — since Reload Editor is open source, why not integrate it into Camtasia, so better SCORM output can be easily achieved?)

Yep I would agree that's a good idea!
