In the previous version for Windows, I was able to publish a video to SCORM 1.2, wven without a quiz. I don't see the ability to do this in the new version. Am I missing something, or do I now need a quiz in order to publish to SCORM?

Hi Jeff,

I tried creating a SCORM production with the newest version of Camtasia 2018.0.7 and was able to publish a SCORM package without adding a quiz.

Sharing to > local file.

I was able to pick SCORM checkbox on the following production wizard screen.

 Are you seeing this checkbox?

Hi Ben,

We're trying to get Camtasia rendered SCORM 2004 packages to run in CSOD, but they just don't. The courses play just fine in SCORM Cloud though. The quizzes work and we get appropriate feedback in SCORM Cloud.

When we upload the same course to CSOD we literally can't even play the course. The course starts to launch like normal but it won't move past the black loading screen.

Why won't SCORM 2004  packages created in Camtasia work in CSOD?

Hi Brandy,

We have a known issue with Cornerstone and our SCORM content we are trying to work out.  I hope to have a fix for it in the near future.  I'll post back here when I have more information.

Thank you! It's really important to us. We're looking to discontinue using Articulate and move to using only Camtasia for our content creation. I look forward to hearing back from you!

Hi Brandy,

I have shipped a new version of the Smart Player (5.32.0 to be specific) that resolves the issues with Cornerstone.  Camtasia 2018 will eventually update to the new version.  Until then you can manually update the Smart Player to any production using the information found here.

Let me know if you anymore questions,
Ben

Ben, this did not display as an option for me. Can you provide the bread crumbs that you applied to get to this screen?

Hi Jeff,

  1. When I click on Share button > Local File...
  2. Then I pick "Custom production settings".
  3. Select "MP4 - Smart Player (HTML5)
  4. Fill in your options on the next screen.
  5. The screen after that contains the SCORM checkbox.
