SCORM zip files not being produced on upgrade to version 2019.07 (109599)

I updated to Camtasia for Mac  version 2019.07 (109599) today. I found that the SCORM generation functionality has stopped working. On completion of a SCORM export, Camtasia gives the following error

"An error occurred
There was an error creating the flash wrapper"

This is bad news for me, as I deliver a weekly SCORM file as part of my job.

I've reinstalled the previous version of Camtasia - but it seems all the work I've done today  since the update cannot be read by the previous version of Camtasia.

This is very frustrating -  am I looking at a lost day of work because of a buggy upgrade from Techsmith?

Hi Conor,

Have you been able to resolve this issue yet?  I haven't been able to reproduce that error with the same version of Camtasia.  If you are still seeing this issue, please reach out to our free tech support.

I am having the same issue, Camtasia 2019 on a Mac. Same error. This is not related to creating a zip, as it happens also creating unzipped directory. This is an horrible release, I have to switch back to Camtasia 2018, but money wasted. So annoyed!!!!

It is possible that your local copy of the SmartPlayer files have gotten corrupt.  We try to update the files to keep you on the latest version, but it looks like something can go wrong sometimes.  

In the Terminal app enter:

rm -rf ~/Library/Application\ Support/TechSmith/Camtasia\ 2019/SmartPlayer/

That should clear out the corrupt files, assuming that is what the problem is.
