Hi, I am completely new to screen casting. I want to record handwritten notes and my voice. Can anyone recommend a good graphics tablet or electronic pen that is compatible with camtasia or point me to a link or vide that would be helpful.

Depends on what you want. Personally, I use a Microsoft Surface pro for this and it works quite well, as you can write on the surface just as if it was a piece of paper. However, if that is out of your price range, then the Wacom Bamboo tablets are pretty good for this purpose. ANother thing you can do with Camtasia is to capture the input of a document camera, such as the Ipevo Ziggy. This allows you to use any paper, pen, etc. that you would like to use, as well as allowing for you to capture 3 dimensional objects in your videos.

If you have access to a Smartboard you can record that as well. Sometimes I record weblectures that way. I usually combine the notes with a video recording of the teacher. (I put a Flip camera or Zoom on one side of the board)
