Screencast hidden folder *not* accessible via a direct URL

We have Screencast Pro, and when creating a hidden folder, on the Privacy tab is the option for "Hidden: content is only visible via a direct URL". That's a desirable option, but it does not work. Sharing the direct URL with anybody who is not logged into our account results in a 404: not found page.

It's actually contradictory to the option given when you choose Share for the folder (instead of editing the Privacy options). There, next to the Share URl option, it simply says "Not available in hidden folders".

Is there any way to actually share a hidden folder through a direct URL? Or is that definitely not possible, and the interface is simply misleading?

Hello,

This is the expected behavior. When the interface states that content is only visible via a direct URL it means a URL directly to that piece of content, not the folder itself.

If you want anyone to be able to browse a particular folder you will need to set the privacy level to public. For more details on privacy levels, check out this help article: https://support.techsmith.com/hc/en-us/articles/227569348-Content-Privacy-Levels
