Screencast - Reviewer comments?

I thought I read somewhere that screencast was an online review tool. So I was expecting that in addition to sharing the link with others, there would be a way for them to leave me review comments. Is that possible? Similar to Lectora's online review tool if you are familiar with it. THX! Loving Camtasia by the way!

Hi glehotay,

Screencast.com does support commenting on media. I think you'll find this tutorial on commenting useful. Make sure you also take a look at the more detailed "related topics" at the bottom of this page as there are more details there about enabling/disabling commenting.

HI,  I am interested in this as well.  I thought that if you put a timestamp in a video comment, it would "deep link" to that point in the movie.  Is that true?

Hi tuhduhvuh (and glehotay),

In Screencast, comments on a video will not deep-link to that point in the video. The timestamp associated with the comment only indicates the date and time of when that comment was left.

Alternatively, we do have a new product, TechSmith Video Review, that has just soft-launched. It is made specifically for the use case you described above of reviewing of videos and it does include this deep-linking capability. We will have more info on it on GetSat over the next few weeks, but for now you can go to https://videoreview.techsmith.com to learn more, see a demo video and start a free 30 day trial and see if it fits your needs.

If you do check it out, I'd love to hear your initial thoughts and impressions!

Thanks
Danny
