Screencast is an unusable workflow for any serious documentation.

I opened a tech support issue, and they directed me to post a "wish item" here.

Screencast is unusable as a destination in any serious workflow. It's probably okay for the occassional screen shot here and there, but if I'm building out a new presentation, I can be taking a screen shot several times per minute.

I prefer to have every image capture do this:
  1. Image on clipboard.
  2. Upload to screencast.
  3. Save to a local file. 

There are three ways in which screencast just doesn't cut it:

1. screencast insists on putting the image URL onto the clipboard, instead of the image. (Neither I nor tech support can find anywhere to turn that off). Sometimes, i might want my clipboard left alone (because I'm doing something that USES the clipboard) -- I can turn off putting the image on the clipboard, but apparently, if one uses screencast, one *must* give up control of one's clipboard.

2. I cannot find in the UI any way to to manage things like using a different account or "forgetting" the password. 

3. The URL put on the clipboard is not the URL for the image. It's the URL for a branded page containing the image. I can understand the desire to brand a free service. Hopefully Techsmith understands that doing so will make it unusable for some group of (potential) users.

Still love Snag It, but many of the modern improvements seem to hinder, rather than enhance, serious workflow.
