I upgraded from Snagit 10 to Snagit 11 for my new computer and find I can no longer output video to avi only .mp4. This is massively inconvenient and is not at all an improvement. Vegas video 10 does not recognize .mp4. I have paid enough for your product. Please advise

I always start out asking for help with "screw your marketing." Learn to research before upgrading--your fault, not theirs. Why would you want to use 1980's technology? Go back to using Snagit 10 and ask for a refund like a human being. Just because it's the internet does not mean you need to be a tool.

@Your Mom - I guess .avi is still quite common. But that aside, normally users tend to believe that product-upgrades bring them -additional- features, rather than cutting out ones.
It is quite common that changelogs show things like: [New],[New]... and ,[Fixed],[Fixed]... but not often it says: [Removed], [Removed]...

With SnagIt it seems to be different: before upgrading one indeed has to do a careful study on the product, specifically look at the list of features that have been removed.

Personally I donot use SnagIt for recordings, it has this fixed, 1"high controlbar at the bottom, which often stands in the way when recording full screen. I use FastStone.

As for the title of the post: it does attract attention, that's for sure :-)
