issue with scrolling capture, up until this week I would click the arrow and it would scroll down to capture the entire page, now it just goes down an inch and stops and seems to try to continue but never moves...

That usually happens when a browser updates itself and SnagIt doesn't know how to deal with it.Have you tried another Browser?

If you are using SnagIt 13 have you tried Panoramic Capture instead?

Scrolling capture doesn't work on my side when using Edge (V. 40.15063.0) or Firefox (V.56.0 - 32 bit), but works fine with Chrome (V. 61.0.3163.100 / 64 bit). Using Panoramic Capture doesn't wolk either...

Is there any workaround? I'm using Snagit Version 13.1.4 (Build 32) - 8008...

Regards
Gerald

Hi Gerald;

What type of content are you trying to capture? Is it a site that is available to those of us here?

HI Gerald;

If you open Firefox in Safe Mode / a Private Browsing tab, can you take a scrolling capture?

I just started having the same problem this week.  Tonight I checked my Snagit verision (was from May 2017) and discovered there is an update (Version 13.1.4 - September 12, 2017).  As soon as I updated to the new version, magically the scrolling window capture started working again.

I hope it will work for you, too.

Our system only supports IE and Chrome.  I have tried all the suggested workarounds, Safe Mode, InPrivate, turn off web security.  No dice. Even when using the panoramic, I can see the fully captured window in the preview.  But when it stitches it together, most of it disappears. And yet on some of the web pages, it works fine. I do have the Sep update.

Looks like it was working all along.  The problem was in the editor it was not showing the whole capture. When I clicked on the "Zoom" icon, I set it to "Fit to Screen".  Boom, there it is.  Weird how it didn't automatically do that on every capture.
