I can click the gold down arrow to scroll down, but then the message comes up to wait, and it just sits there,clocking...never finishes.
I am using the latest 2019 trial version on Chrome

Panoramic scrolling? Select an area that does NOT include scroll bars on the screen
Once the area is selected there should be a START button. Click that and then manually scroll down as far as you want with your mouse wheel
Then hit the stop button and it will process
I have had issues where the stop button came up behind the other window and I had to ALT+TAB to get to it

No, not panoramic scrolling, just normal scrolling. I saw the video on panoramic, but do not see that option on my screen.

well, I tried it, and it worked....sort of; it took about 5 minutes to process and then when I saw the finished screen, the tool had actually captured something from another tab, TOO!  This is not working for me...I have used this tool before at another job and loved it; never had problems with the scrolling....very disappointed.

I have not seen an issue where panoramic would capture something in a different tab, that is very unusual. My advice for getting better results from panoramic scrolling would be to try again, but to move the selection more slowly. If that doesn't work out for you, you can always make use of our free Technical Support: https://support.techsmith.com.  They might have some better suggestions for you.

Panoramic Capture can help in situations for when Scrolling Capture doesn't work. If Rick's instructions were not specific enough for you, we have a tutorial page with directions and videos that explain how to use the feature: https://www.techsmith.com/tutorial-snagit-panoramic-capture.html

Thanks for trying Snagit!

That is possible. I would try it again and ONLY SCROLLIN ONE DIRECTION as in "down" If you roll up a tad and then continue down you can get weird results
