Scrolling not working in Version 13

I have a Call Center Application that has it's call flows designed in an application that is a lot like Visio. Most of the applications are quite large so for the past 10 years I have used Snagit to capture the screens to paste in documentation. It worked great all the thru version 11. It got broken with version 12 however the Alternate scrolling allowed it to still work. Now with version 13 it is again still broken but for some reason the alternate scrolling was not retained so this version of snagit is useless. My request is that if you are not going to fix snagit, at least put alternate scrolling back in so it will be useful.

Hi Boyd,

Have you tried Panoramic Capture? Here's a link to a short tutorial video on how to find/use it:
https://www.techsmith.com/tutorial-snagit-13-panoramic-capture.html

Panoramic Capture is a bit more manual than Scrolling Capture, but it's a good supplement to Scrolling Capture. The methods we use for Scrolling Capture don't work quite as well as they used to with modern applications and websites which leverage features like infinitely scrolling pages, lazy loading, collapsible headers, etc.

I hope this helps,
Glenn

OK, I reloaded and upgraded to version 13.0.3, and tried it. First off it is very clumbersome and slow. A project that used to take 10-15 minutes will now take hours to complete. And second, I tried it on the same capture 5 times. 1 was successful, the other 4 had big holes of missing data in them. The part that really upsets me is that Snagit worked perfectly in version 11, and it worked "ok" in version 12 with alternate scrolling, so why can't you make it work in version 13? You guys keep taking 1 step forward and 3 steps backward with each new release. Looks like I'm stuck with using version 12 again.

Hi Boyd,

Thanks for trying my suggestion; I'm sorry it didn't work out with you, I know it's frustrating.

I think at this point it'd be best if you opened a ticket with our Technical Support at https://support.techsmith.com They might have some additional suggestions, or at the very least they can get some more details about your situation to help identify what's going on.

Sorry for the trouble,
Glenn

Actually I did open a support ticket. After trying various things this is what Jason said. He also suggested submitting this as a suggestion (in a different email). In other words, Techsmith "broke" the product and it appears they have no plans to fix it.

Hello,
You can still use Snagit 12 or 11 if you want.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Kind Regards,
