Scrolling screenshot of drop-down menu

Hi,

SangIt 13/Win10:

I'm documenting a web application that includes various drop-down menus. Some of the menus have too many choices to display within the allocated space, so you have to scroll down to see the remaining choices.

e.g. if the menu contains the eight planets, only the first six display:
Mercury
Venus
Earth
Mars
Jupiter
Saturn
-------
I have to scroll down to view (and select) Uranus & Neptune.

While I can create a scrolling capture when I scroll down through the entire web page, I don't see the dancing arrows when I snag just the drop-down menu.

NOTE: This question is not along the lines of the menu disappearing before i can snag it. The menu stays on screen.

Thanks,
Steve

Hi,

try the answer here - https://feedback.techsmith.com/techsmith/topics/drop-down-scrolling-menu-capture

But what I wanted to tell you, I do not really think, that documenting all options in drop down as a picture is a good idea. Keep in mind, that you cannot for example do CTRL+F. I'd prefer list in docs.

BR,
M.

Thank you. I'll check out the link, but point taken per not graphically documenting the drop-down menu. Anyhow, may be a few days before I get back to you as I'm going on vacation.
