It works here. I just tested it on this page. SrWare Iron (Chromium-based), XP Pro 64bits.

I thnk it depends on other factors - it does not work on my Windows 7 PC - but it does work on my WINDOWS 10 PC's - I don't know if that is the result of the difference in the OS or if it just dumb bad luck for me - but fact is, scrolling windows does not work for me on my Windows 7 PC -I can use Panoramic Capture to get the same result - it just takes more steps....

Funny - I played around a little - and I could get Scrolling WIndow to work on my email - (in Outlook) but when I selected scrolling window as the defaul scrolling option and tried to capture a scrolling window in IE or CHrome - it just captures window - doesn't even try to do scrolling. (in Chrome - it apptempts to scroll but fails when it tries to save the capture - kind of odd.

Personally - I love the new updates they added (magic effects) but really miss scrolling windows a lot on my work PC - hope they bring it back..or make it work everywhere.

Capturing something in the Microsoft Edge browser activating capture scrolling windows only gives you the option of capturing a horizontal window not a vertical one.

Just installed the update/bug fixes. Still doesn't work in Edge. The orange down icon does not appear.

Scrolling window capture is not working on my Win 7 Pro 64bit with version 13.1.1 build 7662.
I choose selection: Scrolling Window and in the gear I choose Capture Active window and I get a message that says: "unable to capture" and nothing appears in the editor.

If I select "Start at top left of window" it captures the full screen without scrolling. So please look at this functionality again. It's broken.

Scrolling not working on my Win 10 Pro 64 bit Snagit 13.1.1

This is what I got from a Web Page that prints as a 22 page PDF.

What your seeing is the Header image and the very bottom of the page. Nothing in-between is captured.

So whats the fix Techsmith?

I am running into the problem outlined in that article.  I tried their resolution but it did not correct my issue.  The scrolling feature is only capturing the URL for Chrome.  It's so frustrating because I use SnagIt a lot for my job!

I just started having this problem in Snagit 2018. Trying a scrolling capture of this page in Chrome, I just get the top half-inch. It won't scroll in Acrobat 11 Pro. It  Scroll works in Edge. It works in Internet Explorer. It no longer scrolls an email in Outlook in Office 365 ProPlus.

Try using the new Panoramic capture. Given all the issues we have seen with scrolling over the years, it would seem they would just abandon it, given that we now have Panoramic.

Cheers... Rick :)
