Hold shift and click at the point where you want to start the selection and then still holding shift click ahead at the point where you want the selection to finish.

Hi Alan,

Here's how I do it:

1) Place your playhead where you want the selection to start.
2) Zoom the timeline all of the way out (using the button at the very bottom left of Camtasia).
3) Hold the Shift key and drag the playhead to the end.

Above are the  s l o w  solutions, that require zooming out to shift, zooming back in to make the edit, zooming back out to shift everything back to the new edit, zooming in again to edit. Pretty tedious!

I was hoping form something more like CTRL-ALT-S to select all items on all timelines to the right of the play head!

Anyone?

Oh, I found the method in another comment thread! Just hold down SHIFT before dragging the play head, and everything tot he right is moved. Here's user Josh demonstrating it:

Here's the thread where he links to the video he made:

You can use the menu command: Edit > Select > To End of Media

Or grab the red tab on the right side of the playhead and drag it to the end.

If you're talking pure range selection, as of 2019 there are some handy keyboard shortcuts for that in 2019 that can be customized to your favorite keyboard combination. Video below demonstrates.

Hope that helps. There are going to be some nice editing enhancements in Camtasia 2020 that should simplify things quite a bit, so keep your eyes open for those things next spring.
